I am Thomas L. Jones Jr., and presently I’m a CW4 in the Louisiana National Guard serving as the Food Service Advisor for the 139th Regional Support Group. I have been serving in that capacity since 2009. I began my food service training with my parents who owned Rose and Thomas Café in Baton Rouge Louisiana from 1972 until 2000. Rose and Thomas Café was a small Soul Food Restaurant in the South Baton Rouge Community. My father was also a Chef at Southern University A&M until he and my mother opened Rose and Thomas. My passion to cook and serve the dishes of my native state and city has been passed on for generations in my family. I think you’ll say “Nah Dat’s Some Good Eatin” after you taste any dish I prepare for you!
